~~~~~~~~~ The secret of Headlands is the overwhelming generosity and unfailing friendliness of the staff, manifested in every aspect of the cafe. The food and drink are fresh and delicious. The cordial climate welcomes everybody – local business people, tourists, teens, little kids, seniors, artists, writers and musicians, and all the extraordinary "ordinary people" who live on the Mendocino Coast. The patrons generate a vibrant bustle, yet the pace is relaxed and unhurried. If you take a couple hours to drink your cup of coffee, nobody will even notice.
Looking for something interesting to do? Come by for live music every single night, tasty reasonably-priced food (also available to go) and, of course, lots of coffee and interesting people to talk to! Need a unique gift? Come by and see our retail section. You'll find coffee makers, Yixing teapots, travel mugs, Headlands T-shirts and sweatshirts (with awesome artwork by Peter Gealey), and a variety of masks from around the world. You might even want to buy one of our artist's works!
Headlands Hours: Sun - Thurs: 7AM - 10PM ~ Fri & Sat: 7AM - 11PM (*November through February we close at 8 PM on Sundays.)
We are open every day of the year except Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We also close for several days in early February for our annual "Spring Cleaning" projects.
