~~~~~~~~~ The secret of Headlands is the generosity and friendliness of the staff, manifested in every aspect of the cafe. The food and drink are fresh and delicious. The cordial climate welcomes everybody – local business people, tourists, teens, little kids, seniors, artists, writers and musicians, and all the extraordinary "ordinary people" who live on the Mendocino Coast. The patrons generate a vibrant bustle, yet the pace is relaxed and unhurried. If you take a couple hours to drink your cup of coffee, nobody will even notice.

We are open every day of the year except Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We also close for several days in early February for our annual "Spring Cleaning" and repair projects.

What's new at Headlands??
CHAI - Have you tried our new Chai? We now brew our own chai from a quality blend of tea from Fog Harbour. If you've ordered any of our bulk/looseleaf teas, you already know how delicious they are. We brew a strong tea and sweeten it slightly with honey. If you prefer a sweeter chai, we can always add more honey
or a shot of vanilla syrup (75¢) before we steam it...or you can add some sugar to taste.
UBRs* - "Uber" cookies are a high fiber, high protein breakfast cookie. They are made with whole grain wheat & oats, sugar, cinnamon, molasses, eggs, and more! Filling and delicious! (*Ultimate Breakfast Round TM)
SPECIALS - We offer some special items most days. Call us (964-1987) to see what we have today!
BAGUETTES - Our newest special "sandwich" is something that you can "grab and go" when you're in a hurry, OR we can grill it if you'd prefer. We use Costeaux French Bakery's 8" Sweet Baguette to make either a Turkey & Cheese baguette or a Ham & Cheese baguette. We use Black Forest Ham with Cheddar or Oven Roasted Turkey with Cheddar and a touch of butter on the baguette. Check the specials to see which baguette is offered today...if it hasn't sold out already!
CHICKEN QUESADILLAS - The quesadillas aren't very NEW, but they are very delicious! We use mildly spiced Chicken Al Pastor with Ortega Green Chilis and Cheddar & Jack Cheese in a flour tortilla. Sour cream and/or homemade salsa are available (50¢ each).
WHEAT FREE "QUICHE" - We've had quiche for years and years, but we've recently started offering "crustless quiche" - especially good for those of you avoiding wheat and gluten. Quiche Lorraine is made with bacon, swiss cheese, and onions. The Spinach Mushroom quiche has Organic Spinach, Cremini mushrooms and Cheddar & Jack cheeses.
